well for the backgrounds i downloaded this cool program that generates cool patterns then us ave them and take them to photoshop and make them look all nice and stuff and you crop it down. for laser i used the lightsaber trick however this time i did the super quick one so it doesnt look to real...
you draw a straight white line you duplicate the layer two times, on tthe first one you give it gaussian blur a small amount, the next one a medium amount, and the last one a bigger amount you merge all the layers together and then you give it glow the colow you want it to be (color balance works as well) _________________  |
